A secluded self-catering lodge with your own stretch of bank — bream, roach, hybrids, rudd, perch and pike a few yards from the door.
Belcoo, Co. Fermanagh — on the Northern Ireland / Republic border
Macnean Lodge is a cosy two-bedroom bungalow set in its own secluded, well-parked grounds on the shore of Lough Macnean, one of the finest coarse fisheries in the Fermanagh and Cavan lakelands. Peaceful and rural, yet only two miles from Belcoo village and a twenty-minute drive from Enniskillen — and perfectly placed for exploring Fermanagh, Leitrim, Cavan, Sligo and Donegal.
Lough Macnean — a 983-hectare cross-border lake (458 ha in Northern Ireland)
Classic mixed coarse water, fishable all year round. All legally permitted methods produce here — maggots and ground bait for the coarse fish, plus float, feeder and lure — with the bonus of wild brown trout for those who fancy a change. Fish your own quiet bank below the Lodge, or take to the water and explore the lough.
Roughly a quarter-mile of private shoreline below the Lodge, joining onto our adjoining farmland — a quiet, near-private stretch to fish.
The loughshore is just 80 metres from the Lodge, reached by a stoned, gravelled walkway, so you can wheel a barrow or trolley of gear to the swims in any weather.
Launch a kayak or canoe straight from our own ramp on the loughshore. For a boat, there's ample parking at the Lodge for your car and trailer, and a public slipway just 200 metres away. (Watch for unmarked shallows on the lough.)
Lough Macnean from our own shore — morning, dusk and moonlight

A dedicated bait fridge for maggots, worms and dead baits, plus space to dry off wet kit between sessions.
